Cricket has been played on the same patch of Leith Links for over 150 years. Leith Franklin cricket club was established in 1852. The majority of the early members were workers at the nearby Fullartons Printworks on Stead’s Place. It was named in recognition polymath Benjamin Franklin, himself a printer. The club has a rich history and even boasts a Scotland international in Willie Hermiston on it’s honour roll. You can find a map detailing our location here.

No matter what level of cricket and how often you want to play it, there will be an opportunity at Leith. The club fields 3 teams in the East of Scotland Cricket League in divisions 2, 5 and 8. League matches are played on Saturdays from 1pm until about 7 or 8. We also compete in several midweek 20 - 20 competitions and often play friendlies mid week. Nets are held on Thursday evenings from 6pm during the warmer months. These are held at Leith Links and new faces are always welcome. There are also kids coaching nights on Tuesdays from 6 - 8pm.
