ESI: Englishman, Scotsman and an Irishman

This is a gorgeous restaurant with excellent service and first class food - we can't wait to go back and try another dish!

46 Queen Charlotte Street, formally Gulners Passage to India, has been transformed into e:s:i - englishman, scotsman and an irishman. What was once the site of an old firestation is now a unique three level brasserie.

The spacious contemporary surroundings of e:s:i complement the warm and friendly service provided by the Englishman, Scotsman and Irishman - three friends who have joined together to open their first restaurant. The aim is to get a genuine nu-Leith feel in the space, from customers, staff and the building itself.

Management have a firm focus on locals, leading to a regular client base, whilst also drawing in custom from the businesses in the area.

Watch the chefs in the open kitchen create your meal with fresh, homemade produce, from the jus on your pot roasted pork and apricot (served with red cabbage, buttered fondant potato and apple fritters) to homemade tartar sauce for your haddock and chunky chips. The e:s:i grill provides three cuts of steak and also the choice of having it served the English, Scottish or Irish way...

e:s:i has a diverse beer list ranging from Timothy Taylor's Landlord of Yorkshire, to James Boags of Tasmania, whilst the bottle of wine on your table could have travelled from as fas as Brazil or even be award winning - like Spy Valley, the world Sauvignon of the year.
