Here's something different! The Roseleaf is the old fashioned British pub brought up date with some lovely touches and interesting quirks.

This really is a homely place serving, as one would expect, the full range of alcoholic beverages, but with the addition of a delightful food menu the contents of which you're not likely to have seen before anywhere else (you'll see what we mean when you click on the menu page link at the end of the text on this page). Food is served from 10 in the morning until 10 at night and we recommend that you try everything over a few visits.

Full meals are on offer all day but describing itself as a 'Bar and Cafe' you can also partake of tea and scones and the like in an atmosphere that has, in the main, sadly disappeared from across the country. Original china tea pots, cups and saucers will transport you back to a more dreamy time. Seems to us to be the perfect destination after a walk along the Water of Leith...

The Roseleaf has already become a firm favourite of many so if you fancy coming for lunch it's best to book.

Expect to be intrigued and surprised by both abstract and representational paintings, from these two very different local artists. Taking their inspiration from Leith's colourful characters
and it's mercantile tradition.
