The ISO Bar, being one of the independent bars in Leith, manages to offer a varied and unique experience to its clientele from a deceptively small frontage on Bernard Street. On entering, it is apparent that this well thought out bar prides itself on atmosphere and although the phrase “style bar” can have many negative connotations, the team at Iso Bar have got the balance spot-on. The blend of light woods, clean lines, and sociable, knowledgeable service gives you the impression that there is no pressure (sorry, had to get at least one in somewhere!) to wear latest from Prada to fit in, nor, however do the fashionably elite feel out of place. This means the Iso Bar has a broad appeal that caters to those looking for an intimate tête-à-tête in one of the little booths scattered around the ground floor bar, or for the more socially orientated amongst you there's communal seating spread through the middle (which makes for lively and engaging five pm stress relievers).

Moving upstairs to Iso Lounge, the Iso Bar opens up more than your expectations. Surprising you with a sleek, comfortable space that is ideal for relaxed lunching and makes one of the best spaces available for private hire in the area. This would be our destination of choice for any function of up to forty or so. Iso-lated (o.k. two!) from the rest of the bar gives an air of VIP exclusivity to your event that many competitors just can’t provide.The products on offer reflect the independent status of the Iso, with a wide range of beers, wines and spirits without the style-bar price tag. You can find all the usuals stocked here but scattered throughout are the harder to find gems that turn a drink into an experience, especially when guided and goaded by the well-informed staff.

The Iso Bar and Lounge don’t stop there however. As with all good bars today, they have an extensive, high quality bistro-bar menu. With all-day breakfast at £6.50, bagels (£3.95), gourmet burgers (£6.75) and steaks (£7.95) the list goes on, catering for all appetites and budgets it adds the final element to this universal style bar.Food served:
