A bohemian chic bar with a Swedish touch. A wide selection of drinks ranging from the Australian Coopers Pale Ale to Swedish Aquavit.  The crowd is crazy, arty and young in mind. They are also more than the 9 inhabitants that the original Boda hamlet in Sweden has. Boda opened 10 September 2003 and the intention from start was to create a nice place to go to either with friends or in the company of a book.Thursdays are DJ night and Sunday live music nights. WINTER WONDERLAND IN BODA!

Mulled Wine and Hot Pear Cider in a Snowy Scotland! Could life be better? As a Swede I feel right at home in this weather!! Good clothes and good shoes and no need of driving outside Leith, so I feel great!! My friend Gunnel who is stuck after a good weekend and can’t fly back to Sweden was a tiny more stressed this afternoon! But a Hot Pear Cider relaxed her too, so now she is fine too!

Winter Wonderland will also be the theme for our New Years Party. It won’t be cold but cosy and warm in Boda with a Wintery feel. Just like “Whams’ Last Christmas” except the heart ache! Tickets are available from Wednesday 1st and includes entrance, a glas of cava for the bells and canapés. Tickets are £12 per person but £10/pp if you buy for groups of 4 or more.

New Exhibition Coming to Boda! Illustrator Siobhan Murchie is bringing a fantastic exhibition of work to Boda which will change and grow over December into January. The exhibition will open on the 1st of December and will also feature work from Textile Designer Helen Gallogly.

Lucia 13th December from 8pm- A Swedish Tradition where we dress up in white night gowns and with lit candles in the hair and sing serene songs. A lot of you might already know of this tradition since it will be the 7th year we are doing it in Boda. Come in and get a mulled wine and listen to some really good singers (above standard this year). This is a good way of starting the festive season starts!

CHRISTMAS PARTY 24th December, for all regulars and lovely people who likes Boda we will have a special Christmas Party on Friday 24th, with some Christmas nibbles and a good time where we can celebrate together. In Sweden we always celebrate on the 24th and that is when we want to hang out with the people we like!!
